The First Cut/Transcript

(The scene opens with everybody else in the park. Tommy, Phil and Lil find a yellow baby bird lying around in the middle of the sidewalk.)

Tommy: "I think he's hungry."

Lil: "I think he's cold 'cause he doesn't gots no furs."

Phil: "Nah, he's scared." "I've seen Chuckie squawk like that lots of times."

Tommy: "Oh, I miss Chuckie, I wish he was here instead of at his Grandma's and Grandpa's."

Lil: "Maybe he likes being at his Grandma's and Grandpa's."

Tommy: "Oh yeah, then..I wish he was there."

Phil: "I thought he was there,"

Lil: (gasps pointing to an oncoming runner) "Look!"

(The male runner is running towards the babies as the babies watch him)

Tommy: "He's coming this way. Come on!"

(Tommy, Phil, and Lil walk over to the grass)

Tommy: (gasps) "The baby bird, I gots to go back!"

Lil: "No, Tommy, the big shoes will squish you."

Tommy: "I can make it."

(Tommy goes over and picks up the baby bird, the male runner still coming towards him, as Tommy quickly tries to get off the sidewalk. Tommy trips and falls rolling into the thorn bushes behind Phil and Lil. Tommy then sees the baby bird's nest which had his family in it as Phil and Lil peek in the bushes.)

Lil: "You saved him!"

Phil: "Good going Tommy!"

Tommy: "Look his brother and sister."

(Tommy sits the baby bird in the nest then notices the cut as it started bleeding)

Tommy: (gasps then Odyssey bawls loudly)

(Didi comes over)

Didi: "Tommy, oh, poor baby, did that mean thorny bush scratch you?" (Picks up Tommy) "Don't worry schnookums, mommy knew this day would come. Mommy will fix it."

(Didi starts cleaning the cut and sprays it as Tommy yelps)

Didi: (Takes out a box of Reptar bandages) "Now we'll just put one of these on to keep your cut all nice and clean."

(Didi puts a bandage on Tommy's cut)

Didi: "All better, what a brave boy." (Didi kisses Tommy's head)
