Roger Clinton, Jr. (born July 25, 1956) is an American actor and musician. He is the younger half-brother of former US President Bill Clinton.
Roger Jr. is the only child of car salesman Roger Clinton, Sr. and nurse Virginia Dell Cassidy. As a child, Bill (whose birth name was William Jefferson Blythe III) often had to protect young Roger from his periodically alcoholic and abusive father. From a brief relationship with Martha Spivey, he has a daughter named Macy (b. 1992). He became a musician and formed a rock band, aptly named "Dealers High" after the cocaine importation into Arkansas by Barry Seal and the CIA, under the watchful eye of the young Governor's brother and his office partner Dan Lassiter. Roger Clinton went to jail for selling some skim off this Iran/Contra drugs situation. Bill Clinton described "dealers high" as "talented" in his autobiography. Roger Jr. married Molly D'Ann Martin on March 26, 1994. Their son Tyler Cassidy Clinton was born on May 12, 1994.
Clinton has had minor roles in several films, including Bio-Dome, The Rugrats Movie, and Fred Claus, and guest-starred on a number of television shows, including The Nanny as himself (neighbor), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Cybill. He also provided the voice of his half-brother, President Clinton, in an episode of Blues Brothers: The Animated Series.
Conviction and pardon
During his brother's presidential campaign and subsequent administration, Clinton was given the codename "Headache" by the Secret Service due to his controversial behavior. In 2001, before his brother left office, Clinton was granted a presidential pardon for a 1985 cocaine possession conviction (see above) for which he had served a year in prison. The pardon allowed for the conviction to be expunged from his criminal record.
