Ransom of Cynthia is a Season 4 episode of Rugrats.
Plot
After getting banned from candy, Angelica does a skit that Cynthia is missing. She does it to get the candy as "ransom" for her doll, and to try to make her father buy her the new "Queen of the World" Cynthia doll.
Summary
Angelica, Tommy, Stu and Grandpa Lou have just come back from Susie's birthday party. Noticing Angelica eating candy from the party, Charlotte takes the candy away from her after a cavity she had earlier. As Charlotte takes a worried Angelica home for some flossing, Didi decides to put her candy in with Tommy's.
The next day, Drew and Angelica stop by at Tommy's house. Drew has a talk with his daughter about the "Queen of the World" Cynthia doll, saying that it's out of the question. Angelica whines about it, saying that he's bad for not getting it. As Drew leaves, Angelica notices Tommy's candy bag in the kitchen counter and tears a page from her coloring book and putting Cynthia in the dirt.
Angelica pretends to scream in shock, getting the babies' attention (Chuckie, Phil and Lil came over earlier). She claims that Cynthia has been kidnapped, reading the page like a ransom note that the "kidnapper" left behind. She says "Leave candy by the tree if you ever want to see your Cynthia again, then go away and hide."
The babies get Tommy's candy bag from the kitchen counter. Angelica looks at the bag's contents, but didn't see her candy in there. So, she devises another plan, this time, involving her Cynthia two-way cellular telephone toy set.
Angelica tells the babies that the "kidnapper" left their phone behind with Cynthia's left shoe, then goes behind a bush to pretend she's the kidnapper, call the babies through her phone, and tell them to get the rest of the candy.
Thinking this has gone too far, the babies decide to look for the kidnapper. As they were looking, Tommy notices that Angelica's coloring book is missing a page. They place the torn out page back in its place before Angelica, with a noticable candyface comes back. The babies begin to act suspicious, then go behind the the bush, noticing the candy and Angelica's backpack. They scold her for being the kidnapper, asking her why. Angelica answers that the babies had candy and she didn't.
Drew comes by with a "Queen of the World" Cynthia doll that she wanted (Angelica lied to her Aunt Didi earlier, saying that she lost Cynthia). Seeing the doll, she "sheds" tears of joy. Then, Angelica notices her Cynthia doll in Spike's mouth (he dug her up as Angelica was running to her daddy).
Glad that Cynthia isn't lost after all, he says that they can return the "Queen" Cynthia doll, much to Angelica's displeasure. Then, after Drew dances with joy with Angelica in hand, she throws up on him (off screen). Tommy thanks the babies for solving the crime.

- In The Seven Voyages of Cynthia, she states that she doesn't want another Cynthia and prefers her old one.
