Dr. Lucille "Lucy" Carmichael (née Kojo; born c. 1985) is the wife of Randy Carmichael and the mother of Susie Carmichael. She is considered a reccuring character in Nickelodeon's 2021 animated TV series Rugrats.
Description
Lucy is a physician specializing in sports medicine. She likes nothing more than to set a bone or set someone on a path to a healthy work-out. She and her friend Chas have a special bond over his ailments and her solutions. She’s a fun, generous, and bouncy personality who compliments Betty’s casual style and Didi’s nesting tendencies. Lucy is just as game as her husband Randy to dress up asa character from “The Final Eclipse" or join in a competitive game night with their friends. [2]
Looks
Lucy's appearance has changed completely from her 1991 counterpart. Lucy is a woman of African American descent with black eyes and mascara around both eyes just like her daughter. Her black hair is now kept usually tied up in a singular afro puff with a blue hair tie. She is almost always seen wearing a blue headband just like Betty DeVille. She is also usually seen in a sweat suit that consists of a magenta and blue shirt, and dark and turquoise pants along with pink socks and white sneakers.

As of right now, Lucy appears in a handful of episode in the 2021 series except for the following episodes:

Trivia
- Lucy, Randy and Susie are much more prominent characters in the reboot than they were in the original series.
- She still works as a physician, just like in the original series.
- Lucy and her husband are (possibly) younger in the reboot than they were in the original series, especially since Susie appears to be an only child -- in the original, Lucy and Randy had four kids, with Susie (their youngest child) and their oldest child (a daughter named Alisa) being around 12 to 13-years apart in age.
- Edwin and Buster Carmichael eventually make an appearance in Baby Talk -- they're still related to Lucy, Randy and Susie, but are now re imagined as Lucy and Randy's nephews instead of their sons (making Susie their cousin instead of their sister). It's unknown if Alisa will appear in the reboot.
