Kira Watanabe is a recurring character in Nickelodeon's 2021 animated TV series Rugrats. She is the biological mother of Kimi Watanabe. Who have moved from Paris, France fairly recently. She currently harbors mutual feelings for Chas and intends to spend more time with him especially due to having similar interests in music and musicians. As of now, she is not married to Chas, and therefore is known only as Kira Watanabe.
Description
Kira is Kimi's biological mother who has moved from Paris, France with her daughter. She makes her first physical appearance in the 2021 series in the episode Lucky Smudge where she talks to Chas after Kimi wins free piano lessons as a prize. Kira takes interest in the song Chas was playing along and mentions on calling about setting up the piano lessons. The piano lessons continue in the series' second season when Kira is seen dropping Kimi off at the Pickles' household to play while she and Chas continue their lessons. It is later learned in the episode Miss Match that she has feelings for Chas and wants to continue to spend time with him even after the piano lessons were supposed to end.
Looks
Like her 1991 counterpart, Kira is a Japanese woman with peach colored skin and a pair of white eyes with black pupils, blue eyeshadow, and red lipstick. She has black hair in an asymmetrical haircut. Her glasses are now red, and she wears a long-sleeved yellow sweater, white and red stripped pants with a black belt, and light grey heels.
Appearances
Kira has only appeared once in the first season of the 2021 series in the episode Lucky Smudge. However, she has started to appear more frequently in the series' second season.
