Charles Norbert "Chas" Finster, Sr. is the father of Chuckie. His first wife was Melinda Finster, who has passed away. He is currently showing interest in Kira Watanabe after giving her piano lessons. He is considered a main character in Nickelodeon's 2021 animated TV series Rugrats.

Description

Chas is Chuckie's father and shares a best friendship with Stu Pickles much like his and Stu's sons share, having been friends and neighbors since childhood. He is shown to be a bit of a germaphobe, especially after he speculates Betty was coming down with a cold in The Fish Stick. He has an interest in music and playing the Obo. He is also shown to be able to play the piano as he offered piano lessons as a prize at the fair in Lucky Smudge, in which Kimi wins and her mother Kira starts taking lessons with Chas at his home. By Miss Match, Chas and Kira are showing interest in each other, wanting to continue to hang out together even after the piano lessons were to end.

Chas has peach colored skin. He has messy, uncontrollable red hair, a red mustache, and a pair of purple square-lens glasses. He wears a white striped shirt with a mustard yellow vest and lavender bow, a belt, green pants, mustard yellow socks, and white sneakers.

Relationships

• Chuckie Finster - Chuckie is Chas's son, and they have a lot in common, including their fearful personalities and poor eyesight. As such, they love each other very much, with Chas doing his best to raise Chuckie and keep him safe, and Chuckie looking up to Chas.
• Stu Pickles - Stu is Chas's best friend, with "The Big Diff" revealing that the two have known each other since childhood. While Stu's inventions sometimes scare Chas, the two otherwise get along very well and enjoy spending time together.
• Didi Pickles - Chas and Didi are friends, and they often bond over having commonalities such as both being parents and both having cautious personalities.
• Randy Carmichael - Randy is another one of Chas's friends, and they are sometimes shown hanging out together.
• Betty DeVille - Betty is a close friend of Chas's, and he is a frequent customer of her cafe. Even though their personalities are very different, with her being very bold and him being timid, they get along well.
• Kira Watanabe - Chas and Kira first met in "Escape from Preschool", and quickly fell in love and began dating. They would later get married in "Chuckie Come Home".

• In Rugrats 2021, it's unknown that Chas still works as a bureaucrat or get different jobs as a school teacher like Randy Carmichael (2021), a doctor like Lucy Carmichael (1991), musician or any other jobs.
• It is revealed in The Big Diff that Chas is younger than Stu by 8 months and 10 days.
• In Traditions, it's mentioned that he only has 9 toes.
• "Tail of the Dogbot" reveals him to be allergic to dogs.
