Charlotte Pickles is Angelica's mother and the wife of Drew. Charlotte is strong-willed and assertive (much like her own daughter). She is a stern and caring mother, who works hard to balance her career with the interests of her family. She is frequently seen talking or texting on her cell phone or chatting with Jonathan. She loves her daughter and wants her to be a strong, independent and accomplished woman like her when she grows older. She is also considered a main character in Nickelodeon's 2021 animated TV series Rugrats.
Description
In the 2021 series, she is a politician, specifically a member of the city council. Charlotte spends much of her time on the phone or working and sometimes struggles to make time for her family, whom she loves deeply. While she spoils her daughter just like her husband, Charlotte's not nearly as much of a pushover as Drew is and is typically the sterner parent of the two, being capable of disciplining their daughter without hesitating to do so.
Looks
Charlotte has some minor changes from her 1991 counterpart, she still has peach skin and a pair of white eyes with black pupils. She also still wears purple eyeshadow. Her lipstick is now dark pink, blue earrings that do not cover her ears. She wears a blue striped outfit with a magenta shirt along with black high heels. Instead of a scrunchy, she now has her hair up in a ponytail with regular hair tie. She usually has her nails painted neon pink and wears two golden rings on her left hand and a diamond ring on her right hand.
Trivia
- She, Angelica and Susie are the only characters to appear in every incarnation of the franchise: the 1991 series, All Grown Up!, Rugrats Pre-School Daze and the 2021 series.
- Charlotte's apparently older in the reboot than she was in the original series, as "Tot Springs Showdown" has her (reluctantly) celebrating her 40th-birthday -- since Angelica's still three years old in the reboot (just like back in the original series), Charlotte must've already been well into her 30s by the time she gave birth to her daughter (at least 36 or 37).
- Assuming that Drew's the same age in the reboot that he was in the original series, he must be younger than Charlotte (albeit only by a few years).
