Summary
Leaves change color and fall off the trees every Fall, but the Rugrats think the trees are sick. - Description from Klasky Csupo.
Plot
During a stroll through the neighborhood, the babies notice that all the leaves on the trees have changed colors. Since Chuckie has recently recovered from a cold, they think that the trees have taken ill, and they set out to "cure" them. Chuckie tries putting maple syrup on the tree, since it is specifically a maple tree. The next day, Chuckie starts crying when he sees that the leaves have fallen to the ground. Meanwhile, Stu tries to create a labor-saving device to sweep up all the leaves in the yard. However, every time he uses it, the babies release the leaves again inside the resulting package. Eventually, Stu gives up on the device and takes the babies to the park. On their way there, the babies see that all the trees have leaves of different colors, so they come to realize that the trees aren't sick after all, but that playing in the autumn leaves is so much fun!
Trivia
- Stu tried to wrap the trees in plastic the previous year to keep his lawn free of leaves.
- In airing order, it was the last episode where David Doyle voices Lou.
