Trivia[]
- This is the first episode to use the 1998 Klasky-Csupo logo after the credits. For the original airings, the 1991 logo was still used until "Wrestling Grandpa/Chuckie Collects".
- This episode has scenes from Spike's perspective and shows how he "hears" the people talk around him.
- The episode title is possibly a reference to the Disney and Pixar movie A Bug's Life.
- More likely, it's a reference to one or more of the numerous films, songs, stories etc. that have the same title.
- Interestingly enough, the said movie was released around the time The Rugrats Movie was released in November 1998.
- Stu's invention, "The Kangaroo", is voiced by Asian American actor Gedde Watanabe, best known as not only foreign exchange student Long Duk Dong in the 1984 movie Sixteen Candles, but also as a karate teacher named Kuni in the 1989 "Weird Al" Yankovic movie UHF.
- Angelica does not appear in this episode or its sister episode.
- This episode marks the first time Dil wears his yellow and orange trap-door pajamas.
